Sick Leave
What to do when you're sick?
It happens to all of us every once in a while.
In case you're ill, please follow the steps below to report that you are not able to work that day.
Please notify your manager before 9:30 AM by phone. A Whatsapp or Slack message is not sufficient. (In case your manager can't be reached, please inform your colleagues & HR directly.)
Inform HR via hrm@tiqets.com and include your manager in the cc of this email as well.
Update your team about your absence and handover any tasks.
Your first day of sick leave will be administered by the HR Coordinator in HiBob.
As soon as you are back on your feet, please follow the step below to inform everyone that you are back again.
Update your manager and HR in the morning that you are feeling better and you are working again. You can inform them via email.
The HR Coordinator will make sure that your last day of sick leave will be administered correctly in HiBob.
If sickness occurs during the employee's holidays abroad, Tiqets can suspend the holidays on request of the employee and grant sick leave if the employee can hand in a local doctor's statement. It is also important that the employee's manager & HR have been informed about the sick leave during the holiday. Only then can the holiday hours be re-administered and the employee be able to take up the remaining holidays at a later time.
If sickness occurs when the employee is on holiday within the Netherlands, the employee must still inform their manager & HR about the sick leave during the holiday, however providing a doctor's statement is not needed. Instead, HR will reach out to Tiqets' occupational health consultant, who will then reach out to the employee directly. After this process is complete, based on the consultant's advice the holiday hours can be re-administered.
