VDU Spectacles

VDU Spectacles

Prolonged screen work can lead to eye problems. People who work a lot behind the computer can suffer from irritation and tiredness of their eyes or even red eyes. To prevent this, Tiqets offers all employees compensation for the purchase of VDU spectacles.

Please follow the process below if you want to buy (or bought) these glasses and you would like to receive compensation for it.

Tiqets offers the compensation if you work at a computer for at least 2 hours a day and proven results of an eye examination by a company doctor or recognized optician show that you cannot use normal glasses or lenses to remedy your eye complaints. The specialist will then most likely recommend you computer glasses / VDU spectacles.

You are free to choose an optician yourself to have computer glasses fitted. Tiqets will reimburse computer glasses / VDU spectacles up to €100,- for every employee. The rest is at your own expense.

Before you expense the costs in Declaree, please make sure to discuss the purchase and therefore conditions of the reimbursement with the People & Culture team upfront. Also check with your health insurance if you are able to expense the purchase. Any remaining costs can be expensed with Tiqets. Send an email to hrm@tiqets.com together with your invoice. If you want you may blur the prescription details on the invoice as that is personal information which you’re not obligated to share. You can declare the invoice and the total amount of €100,- afterwards via Declaree.

Every employee can apply for new VDU Spectacles once every two years.

If you leave Tiqets within three months of purchasing the screen glasses, we are forced to recover 50% of the costs from you in the final settlement.
